Care and Protection for Black and Brown Skin
Everyone’s skin is different and can benefit from a tailored care routine. Darker skin contains more melanin than lighter skin. Melanin-producing cells can be more susceptible to the effects of inflammation and injury, which may be more noticeable in dark skin than in light skin. Temple Health-Chestnut Hill Hospital physician Nicole Davis, MD, family medicine, will talk about conditions often experienced by women with darker skin, including acne, changes in pigmentation, contact dermatitis, eczema, and seborrheic dermatitis. Plus, she’ll share her best tips for treatment.
WHEN: Thursday, April 20 | Noon to 1 p.m.
WHERE: Virtual Seminar
INFO: Program is FREE. Registration required.
